  • No. Our sessions are elective and NON-diagnostic ONLY. Sessions are intended for bonding and keepsake purposes only. We do not provide medical advice or diagnosis. An elective ultrasound does not replace care from your healthcare provider.

  • No, we do not accept insurance. This is an elective, non-diagnostic ultrasound experience intended for bonding and keepsake purposes. Because this is not considered a medical procedure, it is not covred by insurance.

  • Yes. Ultrasound has been used for many years in pregnancy. We follow safe scanning practices and keep sessions limited in time.

  • No referral is needed. However, it is required that you are already receiving prenatal care from a healthcare provider.

  • An estimated due date (EDD) is important for determining an accurate gestational age. This is important in regards to ultrasound safety, as we only listen to the heartbeat at 12+ weeks to follow proper ultrasound guidelines. Having an EDD also insures that you are under the care of a healthcare provider.

    18+ weeks: gender determination. Could be seen at an earlier gestation, however, never guaranteed.

    26-32 weeks: best time for 3D/4D imaging for the clearest facial features.

  • All we need is a small space to comfortably set up our equipment and a place for you to relax during your session. Living rooms typically work best, as you’ll be comfortably lying on your couch while we capture your special moments.

  • It happens sometimes! We’ll try different techniques (like repositioning). If needed we offer a redo session, where we will come back a different day and try again. We always do are best, and strive to obtain the best images!

  • Your healthcare provider monitors your baby’s growth, health, and development throughout your pregnancy. Our ultrasounds are for bonding and keepsake purposes only, so its important that you continue regular care with your provider for medical needs.

  • No. We do not listen to the heartbeat any time before 12 weeks gestation in order to ensure the safety of your baby. At 10-11 weeks we can use “M mode” which displays a heartbeat tracing, however, this cannot be heard. M-mode uses low energy output levels, making it safe in the first trimester. After the first trimester (12+ weeks), it is safe to use doppler and listen to the heartbeat.
